Band News
Greetings and Welcome to 2007. We have enjoyed the last two months off and are looking forward to spring. Our families are continuning to grow and everyone is ready for the exchange the snow for some bright sunny spring days! During the next few months, we will be filling out our 2007 schedule which will change frequently as calls for more dates continue to come in!
The past winter we have been touched by a wonderful young girl who had to fight off cancer. Katie DeGrace is just 10 years old and attends Frankenmuth Middle School with our daughter Jessica. Katie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has spent the past several months traveling between Mott Children's Hospital and home for agressive treatments. Two weeks ago, we heard that Katie has been given a clean bill of health and the cancer is in complete remission!
To support Katie and the CS Mott Children's Hospital, there is a fundrasier in Frankenmuth called Katie's Ball on Friday May 4th,2007. The evening will include guest speakers including Jamie Morris, former U of M running back, and Dr James Connelly, Katies physician. The Master of Ceremony will be Johnny Burke from WHNN and dinner at Zehnders Restaurant. Finally, the evening will include both dinner and dance music by The Dave Slivinski Band. Tickets are $100.00 per person and available at the Frankenmuth Credit Union in Frankenmuth Michigan. Please call for additional information or if you would like to support us for this special cause.
